EMDR Refresher Course

The goal of this workshop is to help clinicians feel competent in the use of EMDR, both in their case conceptualization and in their treatment implementation. Participants will build their confidence by reviewing the EMDRIA Definition of EMDR, the AIP model, the eight phases, Cognitive Interweave and the three-pronged model. Attention will be given to adherence to the protocol, client history, case conceptualization, desensitization and using cognitive interweave. Participants will practice what is reviewed through a guided practicum experience in order to further foster proficiency and understanding.
